A little bit of history...
Abundant Life Church has a rich history, spanning over 80 years!
Our church was founded in 1942 as "Apostolic Christian Church" by Reverend Lowe. Our first ever building is still standing today on Rudisill Blvd. This is a church that has stood the test of time - through nine pastors, five buildings, and five different names! Even though much has changed as the church has experienced growth and deepened its roots within the community, its identity has been consistent as a spirit-filled, dynamic church in the city of Fort Wayne.
We are blessed to have two former pastors of this church still worshiping with us today! Rev. Charles Stovall, who pastored here from 1978-1986, is our Pastor Emeritus. Bishop David E. Keller and his wife Marta served as the Lead Pastors of Abundant Life for 34 years, retiring from that role in 2020. Under Bishop Keller's leadership, our church saw tremendous growth in infrastructure, congregation size, and community influence.

Abundant Life Church currently sits on Coliseum Blvd. We are a gathering of people of all ages and backgrounds, but we have in common a love for Jesus Christ and a commitment to His mission. We believe God has ordered our steps thus far, and we are looking forward to seeing what He has in store for us in the coming months and years!
Our Present...
Upon Bishop Keller's retirement in 2020, Abundant Life elected and installed new Lead Pastors - Rev. Richard Brown and his wife Tamara. Under their leadership, ALC is moving forward with faith and great expectation for our future.
We are moving
In February of 2022, we launched our FORWARD Vision Campaign. When Pastor Brown assumed the pastorate here at ALC, the need for updates to our building and premises was abundantly clear. The FORWARD campaign and the upcoming building project will address these needs and more! But this campaign is about more than just our building. It is about all the people of Abundant Life Church uniting behind a vision which will position us to fulfill God's mission for us in this region.
