A little bit of history...
Abundant Life Church: Over 80 Years of Faith and Growth
Since its founding in 1942 by Reverend Lowe as Apostolic Christian Church, Abundant Life Church has stood as a pillar of faith in Fort Wayne. Our first building, still standing today on Rudisill Boulevard, marks the beginning of a remarkable journey—one that has spanned nine pastors, five locations, and five name changes. While much has evolved over the years, our identity has remained steadfast: a Spirit-filled, dynamic church dedicated to serving our Fort Wayne, Indiana.
We are honored to have two of our former pastors still worshiping with us today. Rev. Charles Stovall, who served as pastor from 1978 to 1986, continues to be a cherished part of our congregation as Pastor Emeritus. Bishop David E. Keller and his wife, Marta, led Abundant Life for 34 years, retiring in 2020. Under Bishop Keller’s leadership, our church experienced significant growth—expanding its facilities, increasing its congregation, and deepening its impact in the community.
As we celebrate more than eight decades of ministry, we remain committed to our mission and excited for the future God has in store.

Abundant Life Church currently sits on Coliseum Blvd. We are a gathering of people of all ages and backgrounds, but we have in common a love for Jesus Christ and a commitment to His mission. We believe God has ordered our steps thus far, and we are looking forward to seeing what He has in store for us in the coming months and years!
Our Present...
Upon Bishop Keller's retirement in 2020, Abundant Life elected and installed new Lead Pastors - Rev. Richard Brown and his wife Tamara. Under their leadership, ALC is moving forward with faith and great expectation for our future.
WE ARE MOVING
In February 2022, we launched the FORWARD Vision Campaign. When Pastor Brown assumed the pastorate at Abundant Life Church, the need for updates to our building and premises became abundantly clear. The FORWARD campaign, along with the upcoming building project, will address these needs and more. However, this campaign is about more than just a building—it’s about the people of Abundant Life Church coming together behind a shared vision. By uniting in purpose, we are positioning ourselves to fulfill God’s mission for us in this region.
